Hello loves! Fall is in full swing here in Madison, the trees are slowly losing their foliage and the nights keep getting colder. It is truly a beautiful sight to see, and though it may make be a bit sad to know that summer is gone there is a part of me that is already excited for the holidays to come. This outfit is a perfect example of how I am embracing the change of season. As you may already know I love vintage clothing and accessories because it is a healthy way of shopping that helps the environment, and I also do it for the thrill of finding something unique to love! I love this dress because of its feminine cut and the colors are reminiscent of fall, but most of all it takes me back to that old couch Grandma used to have. For a boho vibe I paired the dress with an over-sized honey cardigan, it feels like being wrapped in a blanket and that puts me in my favorite level of comfort. I love my new Jeffrey Campbell Everly booties from (Shoo) so much!! These boots are extremely comfortable and look a bit bad-ass which is something I wanted to incorporate to this look. The accessories add that oomph such as with the Fossil watch that is a perfect color for this season and this vintage Dooney and Bourke AWL crossbody. I topped off this look with a wool hat to keep me warm, which looks quite adorable if I do say so myself. What do you like most about this look? Summer is really everything, with the warm weather come more style choices and bright colors, I can already feel the climate getting a bit cooler and cooler which are the first signs of fall and it terrifies me to think winter is surely on its way. That is why you must choose today to wear what you want and stop saving it for another day, of this I am guilty. It is now or never, that is the motto. I wanted to go for a hipster-Free People vibe with this look, keeping in mind my personal style. I cannot seem to stop wearing high waist shorts this summer, it may be because of how great they fit and how casual they look. The moon and stars print takes you to a magical place paired with a distressed light wash jacket a perfect denim on denim staple. This lamb suede crop top is the ideal neutral shade to complement the print and its split back lends a sexy touch and airflow. These are all reasons to look for vintage treasures to recycle especially since this is part of a set I will be styling later on. I love the navy hat with this denim on denim look because it adds a darker shade of blue that welcomes the classic Club Master with a bit of mystery. I made this look my own by adding my newly rediscovered vintage AWL Dooney and Bourke Bucket bag, it is just perfect. I stack my rings up, up, up and this is fun when incorporating different gems and shapes. Adding to that shine my Fossil watch that I cannot get enough of since I got it back in spring because it is an almost chocolaty rose gold shade that complements my skin well and the lovely Bettina sandals from Rebecca Minkoff; topped off with a delicate grey pearl. Jewels: Assorted Hat: Sacred Feather Sandals: Rebecca Minkoff Sunnies: Ray Ban As you may already know I am all about a fun print for summer, especially on the trending harem pant. Cotton is a great fabric for summer because it is perfectly flowy whereas silk can make you feel hotter and is preferable in fall and spring. When I was a buyer at ReThreads these vintage undeniably amazing harem pants came in, first dibs never felt better. You just do not see things like this anymore and that is one of the many reasons to love vintage clothing and accessories. I had a hard time finding a top for these multi panel pants, each time I tried to wear them I just could not make it work. This is okay because one day it just clicks. The ivory silk camisole has everything I was looking for; a solid color and statement details. I love the deep V cut of the lace that adds just a little more oomph and the back details are a sexy plus. The Felicia ballet flat dazzles with sparkle complemented by rings and reversed Marc Jacobs cuff. Earrings are always important and here is an example that dainty earrings can also make a statement. The blue stones complement the paisley panel while giving a pop of color to your face. I feel like a genie that just came out of the bottle ready to grant your three wishes. The warm weather reminds me of what it feels like to be in Puerto Rico, I especially like the smell of freshly cut grass. It brings back many childhood memories from running around the barrio with my friends to sitting on my porch; someone was always cutting the grass. If you are like me you also like to portray who you are and how you feel through your daily looks. I wanted to feel at home and this look did just that; it took me to the beach. The palm tree embroidery sits perfectly on a sheer panel that gives room for airflow and adds texture. Being a two piece it can sometimes overwhelm you, adding a belt will accentuate your waistline pulling the whole look together. Gold wedges add the shine that was missing and elongate your legs. To top off this look I used a tooled leather clutch with beautiful floral details and an amazing straw hat!
