T H E C L A S S I CIf your style is all over the place as is mine, then I know you also like to be classically chic at times, this could be solved with a classic red and black color combination. I love a button up paired with a skater skirt because it says I am here to have fun but I mean business. The pin stripes add just the right vibe of menswear complemented with a skater skirt to keep it girly. I love this skirt because it is different from my other skater skirts, the small pleats add lots of volume to swirl around. In my opinion this is a perfect combination for any silhouette. The accessories bring this look to life with the vintage Coach mini bucket bag and polka dot socks with Newbury ankle booties. I love that the leather here adds two different textures; one soft and the other strong and rugged. One of the most important things to remember this summer is to protect the skin you are in. Aviators block the sun, but there is nothing better than a sun hat to protect your skin from burning while taking a walk in the town. Not only is the hat keeping my skin safe but it really tops off this look with an edgy feel. I’m not going to lie, I feel like I just walked out of the set of American Horror Story. What makes you feel like a superstar? Your Everyday Girl Top: Ben Sherman Skirt: KNIT by Kova and T Bag: Coach Booties: rag + bone Socks: UO Hat: Kathy Jeanne Aviators: Ray Ban Ring: Sarah Cov. As always, it is a pleasure to be able to work with The Rise Brand.

Tartan has been a big trend this year especially during last fall with pleated skirts and flannel shirts. Plaid has been around for a while now and it looks like it’s here to stay, but with this look you'll never want it to go away. To me summer is all about dresses because they are easy to throw on and the wind flows right through just when you need it. The shirt dress is flattering to any figure, adding a polished lady-like look that is always a hit. With this classic red, white, and blue plaid I chose to pair it with white flats and vintage Dooney and Bourke to make this a fresh look. The love birds are an added bonus because sometimes it just works. Styling is kept minimal here since the dress has a busy pattern that we do not want to clash with. I kept my hair out of my face in a pony since I could not get the bun right, but either way it worked out. You can incorporate this trend in multiple ways, all you need is to choose one and make it your own. One of my favorite pieces this spring has been the denim jacket. The denim jacket is ideal for spring weather you need a layer of warmth or not First thing is choosing between a dark or light wash, which in my opinion are both a must have in your wardrobe. Here I chose the light wash since I paired a pastel stripe top and pink shorts. The Broken-In Chino City Fit are my favorite fit ever, they are extremely comfortable with the right length for work. Keep it fresh with a white statement necklace. Comfort is always on my mind especially when it comes to shoes! Cole Haan has just the right cushion for the pushing. Beige complements this pastel look so I of course topped it off with my favorite D&B bag. It is Spring and there is no going back now, time to bring out those shorts and dresses for a stroll. Summer to me is about being outside for bonfires, carnivals, and just enjoying the great outdoors. High waist shorts are great as long as they are a great fit for your shape. These I actually cut myself and they turned out pretty great if I do say so myself. Crop tops go perfectly with high waist shorts but since it is not quite summer yet I decided on a striped knit tank top and tucked it in. Spring nights usually mean the temperature drops so keep in mind to dress for both warm weather and for that chilly breeze at night. These cardigans from J Crew are my favorite; they are conveniently thin while still keeping you very warm because they are knit wool. The stripes on the tank are navy so I chose to use my navy Dooney and Bourke and leather sandals. Last but not least: sunglasses!
