Happy Labor Day! I hope you had a great holiday filled with grilled food and laughter, now here is a little fashion inspiration on how to add a fall feeling to a summer day. I am all about summer but even I can admit I have also missed fall. A cropped sweater is a must for fall because you can wear them with a maxi skirt, high waist pants, or in my case high waist shorts. This sweater is very airy and I am obsessing over its intricate knit pattern, and the taupe color is a great neutral for fall. These platform shoes are very easy to walk in and the perfect complement to the top and shorts, as well as a confidence booster. The vintage Dooney and Bourke bucket bag is the perfect fall staple with its navy and brown leather that looks great with falls earthy tones. For the finishing touches, a vintage cross centers this look and a tiny pair of pearls add a delicate touch. I love my fossil watch and I feel it can go with any look, whether fall or not, it’s the perfect color for my skin! I complemented the watch with a copper cuff with an aquamarine stone and topped off the look with a maroon lipstick. I took these pictures while John and I visiting the Allen Centennial Gardens here in Madison, how beautiful are they?! I will be sure to go back before it gets too cold. xoxo, Your Everyday Girl Top & Bralette: Sparkle and Fade (UO) Shorts: Levi's Shoes: Teemix Bag: Dooney and Bourke Watch: Fossil

S A B O S K I R TIt is the lovely weekend again, I could not be happier! After working all week, I can finally sleep in and cuddle with my favorite blanket. This dress from Sabo Skirt is extremely comfortable, the crochet details add just enough texture to the neon teal color. Zara always gets it right, especially with the wide heel holographic strappy sandal. I love how the colors bounce off of them. In honor of the weekend I decided to style this chain-mail bag from BCBG Max Azria. At a glance it appears to be a simple yellow cross body, but it has a subtle iridescent finish that is great for this look. Minimalism goes a long way, that's why I kept the jewelry simple with stud earrings and my two favorite silver rings. White framed sunnies add a fun statement to your face and covers the bright and shining sun! What are your weekend plans, and what do you plan on wearing? I hope your weekend is full of glamour! T A K E O N T H E W O R L DHello lovely readers! I have been very busy with work now that I have gotten another sales position at a local shoe and consignment business called (Shoo). I have been learning tons about brands like Geoffrey Campbell, Bedstu, and Bernie Mev to name a few as well as what goes on behind the scenes of a shoe store as oppose to strictly clothing. This is very interesting to me in order to continue developing in the fashion industry. It is that time of the year again when everyone is out shopping for school supplies and scrambling to enjoy the last bit of this wonderful thing called summer. What you may not know is that I took time off from continuing with school and needless to say it has been harder and harder to just go and get it done. At first I was just clueless as to what I wanted to set my mind on, but now that I realize fashion is what I am most passionate about I feel it is necessary to make a career out of it! I will keep you updated on the process it will take to conquer this "fear" of going back-to-school. School also means fall is surely on its way, but keep a positive perspective because it brings dark layers that I must confess I have missed. I love the school-girl look because anyone can do it! It is as simple as putting a cute blouse and skater skirt together with a few accessories. I love the peter-pan collar on this top and its lace details that set the mood for this entire look. For those cloudy days that tend to get chilly these over-the-knee suspender tights from Urban Outfitters will look adorable while adding a subtle layer of warmth! The Etienne Aigner Zane pump is not just your average black pump, the adorable bow details are topped off with a gold emblem that add a little something that I love, did I mention how comfy they are? The finishing touches are a classic Coach bag and a watch is always good to have incase your phone runs out of batteries or can't use it in class! What are you looking forward to this September? I am looking forward to witnessing another beautiful change of seasons! Have a great day! xoxo, Your Everyday Girl Top: Simply Vera Wang Skirt: KNIT KNIT by Kova and T Heels: Etienne Aigner Tights: Urban Outfitters Bag: Coach Watch: Eaton
Happy Monday loves! Yesterday was national watermelon day and you may know I love watermelons from my shopping haul. I have had this chiffon cami from American Apparel for a while now, and I am glad that I saved it for this perfect day. I love the watermelon print on this sheer texture that lets the wind right through. It was a bit hard to style it at first, but after a few changes I chose these almost white high waist shorts to bring out the highlights on the print. I have been getting so many compliments on these Steve Madden suede Lagunna sandals and I just cannot stop wearing them! The height on these shoes is ideal and they are extremely comfortable to walk in even for hours at work. I kept this a very simple look with only studded iridescent earrings and a couple of silver rings. I topped the look with a small AWL Dooney and Bourke cross body. Off I go to finish the other half of this delicious watermelon! Have a great week! Your Everyday Girl Top: American Apparel Shorts: Levi Strauss Heels: Steve Madden Bag: Dooney and Bourke
