Hello lovely readers! I hope you had a great weekend and an awesome start to your week thus far! Just as fast as fall arrived it will be gone, that is why I decided to wear this vintage dress! I fell in love with the paisley print and its color combination. This dress is handmade which is amazing because it literally fits like a glove. Brassy and gold jewelry with Pistol on my nails! This weekend was beautiful in Madison, seventies and sunny! To layer you can wear your denim jacket or blazer! I chose a western cut. This is one of my favorite Dooney and Bourke bags because of its unusual closure and neutral color. I recently got these vintage Guess by Georges Marciano Gina western ankle boots from my latest thrifting trip and could not wait to wear them! They are so easy to slip on, which I find important in a shoe and top off this vintage-western look! Have a great rest of your week! Hello loves! Fall is in full swing here in Madison, the trees are slowly losing their foliage and the nights keep getting colder. It is truly a beautiful sight to see, and though it may make be a bit sad to know that summer is gone there is a part of me that is already excited for the holidays to come. This outfit is a perfect example of how I am embracing the change of season. As you may already know I love vintage clothing and accessories because it is a healthy way of shopping that helps the environment, and I also do it for the thrill of finding something unique to love! I love this dress because of its feminine cut and the colors are reminiscent of fall, but most of all it takes me back to that old couch Grandma used to have. For a boho vibe I paired the dress with an over-sized honey cardigan, it feels like being wrapped in a blanket and that puts me in my favorite level of comfort. I love my new Jeffrey Campbell Everly booties from (Shoo) so much!! These boots are extremely comfortable and look a bit bad-ass which is something I wanted to incorporate to this look. The accessories add that oomph such as with the Fossil watch that is a perfect color for this season and this vintage Dooney and Bourke AWL crossbody. I topped off this look with a wool hat to keep me warm, which looks quite adorable if I do say so myself. What do you like most about this look? It is Spring and there is no going back now, time to bring out those shorts and dresses for a stroll. Summer to me is about being outside for bonfires, carnivals, and just enjoying the great outdoors. High waist shorts are great as long as they are a great fit for your shape. These I actually cut myself and they turned out pretty great if I do say so myself. Crop tops go perfectly with high waist shorts but since it is not quite summer yet I decided on a striped knit tank top and tucked it in. Spring nights usually mean the temperature drops so keep in mind to dress for both warm weather and for that chilly breeze at night. These cardigans from J Crew are my favorite; they are conveniently thin while still keeping you very warm because they are knit wool. The stripes on the tank are navy so I chose to use my navy Dooney and Bourke and leather sandals. Last but not least: sunglasses! I am happy to formally inform you of my collaboration with Rise for this amazing shoot. The Rise Project was made for the sole purpose of planting a seed of courage and inspiration in hope of introducing a universal movement towards a greater good. Here I am holding my very own excel notebook made of 100% Recycled materials. Get yours now! www.RiseProj.com This look was styled around the peplum, which is very in season. I love this faux leather peplum; it adds a matte texture with embroidered detail. When styling a peplum keep in mind that it adds a ruffle to your shape which can turn from flattering to unflattering if styled incorrectly. A skinny jean will make you look leaner and white freshens up your look. The blazer here has a great shape and cut that complements the peplum perfectly. Black & White usually call for a pop of color, red is classic and will not disappoint. With this vintage red leather jacket I was able to layer up without being too bulky. Add a red lipstick for a daring girl's night out look.
