N A N E T T E L E P O R ENeon colors are perfect for summer because they make your tan stand out! I love that many amazing designers like DVF, Rag+Bone, and Marc Jacobs have collaborated with Target to make stylish and affordable collections conveniently at your disposition. L'Amour by Nanette Lepore can be found at JC Penny which is pretty great too. I love the cloud like print on this dress and its color combination that remind me of the 70's. Recently I noticed that Iggy Azalea wore this vintage Paloma Picasso belt on her cover of The New Classic and immediately I was inspired to finally wear mine! I so wish my friend was back in town with her beautiful Paloma cross body, if you’re reading this I shall borrow it next time! Nonetheless Tory Burch did the job with this simple handbag and gold detail. I wanted to go for a modern 70’s look with a bit of edge and a girly touch which I feel I accomplished with the accessories. I kept it chic with cat-eye sunnies and Mary Jane patent leather heels, but a bold pink lip tops off this look! If you are a thrifter like I am, then I will assume you are also into vintage. Whether it is the fashion and style, artwork, or furniture there is always something amazing waiting to be found. You just have to get out there and join the adventure. At times it may be difficult to wear such vintage clothing without being too costume-y which I think is great, but there are times when minimalism goes a long way. I have been really into the the 70's style lately, with its bright colors and floral prints. That is why when this top came in to the store, I knew it had to be mine. I love the unusual neckline with floral embroidery as well as the vibrant green. Paired with a white cuffed jean this look is timeless and fresh to look at. A pop of color is always nice, and with these sandals I was able to add all the colors I wanted while also complementing the orange handbag I had in mind. This look is topped off with white cat-eye sunnies and flowers on my ears. Nice long locks parted at the middle seem necessary for any 70's inspired look. By the way how beautiful are these tulips?
Out On the Town, Your Everyday Girl The best outfits occur in the spur of the moment and this is one I will definitely re-wear over and over. I usually am seeking for comfort on an everyday basis and a romper can do just that if it is the right cut. This vintage romper is a favorite because of its vibrant floral print that is perfect for any summer day. I’m really enjoying the cut of this romper especially the way it sways which will give an illusion of wearing a dress. Since mustard is the least visible color in the print I decided to add a skinny belt to give structure and a pop of color. Booties are always a go to when seeking comfort, the small heel add just enough height to get you through a busy day. I kept it neutral with beige so that the print will stand out even more. First I chose a light wash denim jacket but, at the last second I decided to throw on this vintage floral needlepoint style vest, the moment I did everything clicked. Cameo over load for jewels felt like a must, with two different cameo necklaces and small cameo earrings previously seen on Lady In Blue. This very 70's look is topped off with matching Dooney and Bourke crossbody, round sunnies, and a single turquoise ring.
