Fall is all about it getting colder, windier and darker sooner. This is the perfect weather for a trench coat, it keeps you warm and looks stylish buttoned or unbuttoned. Paired with rag & bone jeans and a crew neck, a simple touch that still is sophisticated. A statement necklace stands out against this simple backdrop. You guys know how much I love cameos and this green one is not the exception. To top it off a beautifully pebbled leather Dooney and Bourke handbag. Fall will be gone before you know it, go look at the colors on a walk with someone! Making sure to keep warm with your favorite hot drink of the season, I cannot get enough vanilla lattes! xoxo, Your Everyday Girl Trench: Burberry Top: rag & bone Jeans: rag & bone Bag: Dooney and Bourke Cameo: Vintage

Y O U R E V E R Y D A Y G I R L meets R I S EOne of the trends I wanted to try all winter was the men's suit that is trending. I was ecstatic when I rescued this retro jumpsuit from the pits of Dig & Save. Thankfully it is in my size and is in perfect condition without sign of wear or staining. I really like the balance of femininity and menswear because it can make you feel strong and powerful. Nowadays there are many women who are the breadwinner of the family. This shows women are stronger than ever, we can really do anything we want if we set our minds to it. When working with a longer pant keep in mind that you want to keep a tall and lean look. Nude sandals are nice and simple. I love this clutch with its floral embroidery on a black backdrop that gives a feminine touch. I am obsessed with needlepoint style embroidery or most commonly known as "Grandma’s Couch" fabric, this is a technique that dates back thousands of years to ancient Egypt. Any good business woman knows to have a watch handy in any given situation. I chose a skinny black watch because it is feminine and sleek perfect for this polished look. Aviators are pretty universal shape, I believe anyone can pull them off and they are great for blocking the sun and staying mysterious. Red lips usually never go wrong and it is always fun to wear lipstick so grab one you like to top off your look. Woman In Black Your Everyday Girl Tip : With these large buttons on the sleeves not much jewelry is needed. I added a watch and cameo ring on opposite hands as well as small stud earrings. As the old saying goes, less is more. Jumpsuit: Vintage Heels: Zara Clutch: Vintage Ring: Sarah Coventry Watch: Anne Klein
Summer is never official until you get to the farmers market! The fresh produce, beautiful flowers, and plants are my go-to for their affordable prices, as well as the delicious cheese curds and other goodies. Saturdays are a perfect day to come to Madison; the streets are filled with musicians and a variety of artists as well as many sightseers. This Saturday was more special having both Farmers Market and the annual Cars on State classic car show that John and I both look forward to. Knowing that it is hot out may prevent you from getting out there and enjoying this beautiful thing called: life. This calls for a dress, but not just any dress. Diane Von Furstenberg was calling my name. With its sheer texture the wind flows right through with the breeze that is just effortless. I have not been a fan of the high-low trend(at least not on me) until I put this dress on, I like that it is not as dramatic of a high-low as you would normally see. The unusual print reminds me of some sort of an animal print, which is why I grabbed my tiny turtle sterling silver earrings that I got from the cutest little shop on State Street. I decided to keep my hair natural again and just changed it up by pinning it into what I call a bird’s nest. To the farmers market I wore braided sandals and for a day-to-night look the amazing satin Carolyne sling backs. A vintage cameo makes for the perfect statement ring to top off this boho- chic look. The best outfits occur in the spur of the moment and this is one I will definitely re-wear over and over. I usually am seeking for comfort on an everyday basis and a romper can do just that if it is the right cut. This vintage romper is a favorite because of its vibrant floral print that is perfect for any summer day. I’m really enjoying the cut of this romper especially the way it sways which will give an illusion of wearing a dress. Since mustard is the least visible color in the print I decided to add a skinny belt to give structure and a pop of color. Booties are always a go to when seeking comfort, the small heel add just enough height to get you through a busy day. I kept it neutral with beige so that the print will stand out even more. First I chose a light wash denim jacket but, at the last second I decided to throw on this vintage floral needlepoint style vest, the moment I did everything clicked. Cameo over load for jewels felt like a must, with two different cameo necklaces and small cameo earrings previously seen on Lady In Blue. This very 70's look is topped off with matching Dooney and Bourke crossbody, round sunnies, and a single turquoise ring.
