Your Everyday Girl
As you may already know I am all about a fun print for summer, especially on the trending harem pant. Cotton is a great fabric for summer because it is perfectly flowy whereas silk can make you feel hotter and is preferable in fall and spring. When I was a buyer at ReThreads these vintage undeniably amazing harem pants came in, first dibs never felt better. You just do not see things like this anymore and that is one of the many reasons to love vintage clothing and accessories. I had a hard time finding a top for these multi panel pants, each time I tried to wear them I just could not make it work. This is okay because one day it just clicks. The ivory silk camisole has everything I was looking for; a solid color and statement details. I love the deep V cut of the lace that adds just a little more oomph and the back details are a sexy plus. The Felicia ballet flat dazzles with sparkle complemented by rings and reversed Marc Jacobs cuff. Earrings are always important and here is an example that dainty earrings can also make a statement. The blue stones complement the paisley panel while giving a pop of color to your face. I feel like a genie that just came out of the bottle ready to grant your three wishes. T H E C L A S S I CIf your style is all over the place as is mine, then I know you also like to be classically chic at times, this could be solved with a classic red and black color combination. I love a button up paired with a skater skirt because it says I am here to have fun but I mean business. The pin stripes add just the right vibe of menswear complemented with a skater skirt to keep it girly. I love this skirt because it is different from my other skater skirts, the small pleats add lots of volume to swirl around. In my opinion this is a perfect combination for any silhouette. The accessories bring this look to life with the vintage Coach mini bucket bag and polka dot socks with Newbury ankle booties. I love that the leather here adds two different textures; one soft and the other strong and rugged. One of the most important things to remember this summer is to protect the skin you are in. Aviators block the sun, but there is nothing better than a sun hat to protect your skin from burning while taking a walk in the town. Not only is the hat keeping my skin safe but it really tops off this look with an edgy feel. I’m not going to lie, I feel like I just walked out of the set of American Horror Story. Keep your eyes peeled for their NEW ARRIVALS and our further collaborations. -T H E P U R S U I T O F E X C E L L E N C E- Tartan has been a big trend this year especially during last fall with pleated skirts and flannel shirts. Plaid has been around for a while now and it looks like it’s here to stay, but with this look you'll never want it to go away. To me summer is all about dresses because they are easy to throw on and the wind flows right through just when you need it. The shirt dress is flattering to any figure, adding a polished lady-like look that is always a hit. With this classic red, white, and blue plaid I chose to pair it with white flats and vintage Dooney and Bourke to make this a fresh look. The love birds are an added bonus because sometimes it just works. Styling is kept minimal here since the dress has a busy pattern that we do not want to clash with. I kept my hair out of my face in a pony since I could not get the bun right, but either way it worked out. You can incorporate this trend in multiple ways, all you need is to choose one and make it your own. It is beautiful outside, the weather is warm and love is in the air. Whether you are looking for love or celebrating an anniversary with your significant other, always prepare to make long lasting memories. With the right outfit you will be sure to remember those moments. I am in love with the Jeralyn dress from Dolce Vita. Its silky overlay gives a layered look to a breezy voile dress. Panels of romantic lace and gentle embroidery offer a vintage feel, while scalloped floral trim blooms around the hem adding a pop of color. If you like to add a dash of sexy the extended keyhole closure offers a peek of skin that will do just that. I chose to wear statement jeweled earrings encrusted in gold for the sparkle that is missing as well as enhancing the embroidery. With these gold wedges I was able to add shine and texture without compromising my comfort. Bangles and rings top off this summer look that says "Let's Fall in Love" Your Everyday Girl Dress: Dolce Vita Wedges: Seychelle's Earrings: Amrita Singh Bangles & Rings: ReThreads Sunnies: A.J.
