Have a Great Week

Knowing that summer is right around the corner is quite exciting, but I must admit I am not looking forward to those excruciating hot days. Spring is my favorite season for two reasons; flowers bloom and the weather is just right neither hot nor too chilly. This weather calls for a nice pair of jeans and a cute top. I am a fan of the peplum as I have styled a leather one a few months ago on Excellence in Numbers. This peplum is a perfect change for spring and summer since it is strapless and its lace detail. For a lean look pair it with a dark wash super skinny jean and a comfortable pair of pumps. I chose bold cameo earrings and stacked up a few rings for just a little shine needed with this simple look. This is great if you are working a shift and plan on getting with the girls afterwards. I had a very busy weekend working tons, thankfully I have next weekend off and will be enjoying the great outdoors! How was your weekend? If you are a thrifter like I am, then I will assume you are also into vintage. Whether it is the fashion and style, artwork, or furniture there is always something amazing waiting to be found. You just have to get out there and join the adventure. At times it may be difficult to wear such vintage clothing without being too costume-y which I think is great, but there are times when minimalism goes a long way. I have been really into the the 70's style lately, with its bright colors and floral prints. That is why when this top came in to the store, I knew it had to be mine. I love the unusual neckline with floral embroidery as well as the vibrant green. Paired with a white cuffed jean this look is timeless and fresh to look at. A pop of color is always nice, and with these sandals I was able to add all the colors I wanted while also complementing the orange handbag I had in mind. This look is topped off with white cat-eye sunnies and flowers on my ears. Nice long locks parted at the middle seem necessary for any 70's inspired look. By the way how beautiful are these tulips?
Out On the Town, Your Everyday Girl Summer is all about shirts and dresses but we often forget about skirts and those are just as fun since it is like making a dress of your own. Neon is perfect for summer since it is brighter out and will will make you appear very tan. I am pretty sure we all have been to a highlighter party before and this look is perfect for one. Two simple ways to style neon is with white or black depending on your mood. Here I chose to style the neon skirt with this very trendy crochet and lace top. I like that it is long sleeve and gives a more sophisticated ladylike vibe. I wore a nude tank top underneath which will come in handy this summer with sheer tops. Holographic shoes are great for when you want to add a little fun to your look, and these are just the right balance of classic and color. Any day is a Dooney and Bourke day in my world, and this mini bucket is just perfect. I got it from eBay and was super excited about it, until I received it with its strap cut off; fortunately I have a temporary strap until I can get it fixed. For a pop of color I chose to paint my nails With OPI Cajun Shrimp, my favorite summer polish. Cat-eye sunnies are great with any feminine look and straight hair is always best because it is so long and flowy. Ring: Sarah Cov. It is Spring and there is no going back now, time to bring out those shorts and dresses for a stroll. Summer to me is about being outside for bonfires, carnivals, and just enjoying the great outdoors. High waist shorts are great as long as they are a great fit for your shape. These I actually cut myself and they turned out pretty great if I do say so myself. Crop tops go perfectly with high waist shorts but since it is not quite summer yet I decided on a striped knit tank top and tucked it in. Spring nights usually mean the temperature drops so keep in mind to dress for both warm weather and for that chilly breeze at night. These cardigans from J Crew are my favorite; they are conveniently thin while still keeping you very warm because they are knit wool. The stripes on the tank are navy so I chose to use my navy Dooney and Bourke and leather sandals. Last but not least: sunglasses!
