Your Everyday Girl
I love a "school girl" look and this one is a more subtle one inspired by American Apparel. I have been trying to wear all my sweaters before it gets warm out. There is nothing better than a cashmere sweater especially when looking for comfort. Paired with the high waist skirt I was able to tuck in the sweater for a more collected look. I like when pink and green are paired together, which may be difficult to do. Since both are a light dusty shade they work well, which that I really like for spring, whether it is sunny or not. I accessorized with multiple jeweled rings and simple earrings as well as a pearl bracelet without a necklace. You can do as you wish to your own preference. Knee high socks will complete that school girl look as well as adding extra warmth. Paired with a comfy shoe and bag on hand (or shoulder) this look is complete and time to go! Your Everyday Girl American Apparel is all about keeping it natural so I did my hair the easiest way I can; brushed and wait to dry. As well as minimal makeup and Eos lip balm. Being in Madison for practically any UW game of any sport will be an experience. As long as you wear red you will be sure to fit right in the sea of red surrounding campus and State Street. Here I chose a simple Bucky tank top with a red cashmere cardigan and faux fur vest for when the temperature drops. Since the day was a beautiful sunny one I felt a white skinny jean would be fresh and bright. Metallic will be a big trend this year, and these silver sandals are the right amount of shine to balance out the bright jeans. All you need are some shades and a big enough bag to fit all your game day necessities! Have a beautiful week! As you may already know I decided to do a sweater guide last week as a reminder to wear your sweaters before it is too late! In the sweater guide I incorporated argyle pints, cashmere solids, and fun prints. Choosing how to style each different sweater styles is what makes the look work. All while staying comfortably warm! Incorporate my styling tips for even more sweater styles such as vests, cardigans, etc. I am so glad for spring beak because it is a sign that the weather will soon increase. Needless to say, the time off and seeing family and friends was much needed. I also enjoyed mom's home cooked meals and a Childish Gambino concert. What I am most excited to share with you is my collaboration with Rise. I will be sharing all the details this week but now it is time for me to get ready & go! I hope you all had a great spring break!
Your Everyday Girl With the sun barely peeking through the clouds, everyone seems to have the winter blues! I am all about denim on denim, must be because my favorite color is blue. Therefore I am all for this all blue look. Start off with a light wash denim button up and layer a navy cashmere crew neck with it. Here you probably could go with any wash of denim but I prefer dark wash skinny jeans, fold the bottoms for an extra hint of texture. Now you may think it is too much blue, but with the right accessories this will be an outfit to remember. I usually try to pair shoes as soon as my outfit is on and go from there. I chose white flats with a pop of color and cute embroidery which will brighten your look. I like to button my button up all the way up which will make a statement necklace more visible. Pearls will turn any look into something classy and sophisticated. This baby blue cameo brooch complements the glamorous pearls making this a perfect statement combination. With my sapphire ring and a baby blue Dooney on hand, this look is complete and the winter blues went right out the door. Add an extra layer of warmth with a faux fur vest for a walk around the city.
