Hello loves! Fall is in full swing here in Madison, the trees are slowly losing their foliage and the nights keep getting colder. It is truly a beautiful sight to see, and though it may make be a bit sad to know that summer is gone there is a part of me that is already excited for the holidays to come. This outfit is a perfect example of how I am embracing the change of season. As you may already know I love vintage clothing and accessories because it is a healthy way of shopping that helps the environment, and I also do it for the thrill of finding something unique to love! I love this dress because of its feminine cut and the colors are reminiscent of fall, but most of all it takes me back to that old couch Grandma used to have. For a boho vibe I paired the dress with an over-sized honey cardigan, it feels like being wrapped in a blanket and that puts me in my favorite level of comfort. I love my new Jeffrey Campbell Everly booties from (Shoo) so much!! These boots are extremely comfortable and look a bit bad-ass which is something I wanted to incorporate to this look. The accessories add that oomph such as with the Fossil watch that is a perfect color for this season and this vintage Dooney and Bourke AWL crossbody. I topped off this look with a wool hat to keep me warm, which looks quite adorable if I do say so myself. What do you like most about this look? Hello lovely readers! I know it has been a while since the last time I made a post, I have been busier than a bee and I just want to say "Thank you so much for your support". I have been seeing lots of longer length sweaters in the stores lately, which I feel is a perfect trend for fall. Especially now that the climate has been getting cooler and days are getting shorter. I love this sweater from J Crew, it is very thick and feels like being wrapped in a blanket! I was immediately obsessed with these Lace-Trim slip shorts from the moment I saw them at UO, the pale pink color adds a sweet vibe matched with the scalloped lace trim. Just because it is fall and we are already in October it does not mean you have to put those shorts away just yet. You can still wear a crop top and shorts, by simply adding over the knee socks you have yourself a perfectly layered fall look. I cannot seem to stay away from the Petty Suede booties! They are so easy to slip on for your everyday comfort, lending a western feel that I love. All the lace and neutral end up looking very sweet and that is not a bad thing. To add a tough touch I chose the House of Harlow engraved station necklace that adds just enough silver and gold metal. The Station bag from Coach tops off this sweet look with a dash of black smooth leather. Booties: Sam Edelman Bag: Coach Socks: Urban Outfitters The best outfits occur in the spur of the moment and this is one I will definitely re-wear over and over. I usually am seeking for comfort on an everyday basis and a romper can do just that if it is the right cut. This vintage romper is a favorite because of its vibrant floral print that is perfect for any summer day. I’m really enjoying the cut of this romper especially the way it sways which will give an illusion of wearing a dress. Since mustard is the least visible color in the print I decided to add a skinny belt to give structure and a pop of color. Booties are always a go to when seeking comfort, the small heel add just enough height to get you through a busy day. I kept it neutral with beige so that the print will stand out even more. First I chose a light wash denim jacket but, at the last second I decided to throw on this vintage floral needlepoint style vest, the moment I did everything clicked. Cameo over load for jewels felt like a must, with two different cameo necklaces and small cameo earrings previously seen on Lady In Blue. This very 70's look is topped off with matching Dooney and Bourke crossbody, round sunnies, and a single turquoise ring. Bag: Dooney and Bourke Sunnies: Shoe Carnival Mixing prints is always great but does not always have to be super obvious; it can also be subtle which will make people wonder "What is she wearing?”. I chose to style a striped button up with this wool sweater for just enough layers of warmth without a jacket required. I am obsessed with the subtle floral details on this sweater with the super cute elbow patches and embroidered flowers. Jeans are always my go to when I cannot figure out what to wear in the mornings, mostly because they provide warmth and comfort. These Rag + Bone are exactly what I wanted; the wash is a right balance of dark and light not to mention the patches are an extra fun detail. I decided to stack up the rings and just a pair of simple studs for jewelry. A delicate necklace is always welcomed but this time I saw no need for one. I feel you can never go wrong with a leather bag, especially if they are DB or Coach because they age well and never go out of style. To bring out the green stripes I chose a pair of green mirrored aviators, and gold wedges add just enough shine as well as elongate the entire look. This is a perfect look for a day of work or school!
