Hello lovely readers! I know it has been a while since the last time I made a post, I have been busier than a bee and I just want to say "Thank you so much for your support". I have been seeing lots of longer length sweaters in the stores lately, which I feel is a perfect trend for fall. Especially now that the climate has been getting cooler and days are getting shorter. I love this sweater from J Crew, it is very thick and feels like being wrapped in a blanket! I was immediately obsessed with these Lace-Trim slip shorts from the moment I saw them at UO, the pale pink color adds a sweet vibe matched with the scalloped lace trim. Just because it is fall and we are already in October it does not mean you have to put those shorts away just yet. You can still wear a crop top and shorts, by simply adding over the knee socks you have yourself a perfectly layered fall look. I cannot seem to stay away from the Petty Suede booties! They are so easy to slip on for your everyday comfort, lending a western feel that I love. All the lace and neutral end up looking very sweet and that is not a bad thing. To add a tough touch I chose the House of Harlow engraved station necklace that adds just enough silver and gold metal. The Station bag from Coach tops off this sweet look with a dash of black smooth leather. T A K E O N T H E W O R L DHello lovely readers! I have been very busy with work now that I have gotten another sales position at a local shoe and consignment business called (Shoo). I have been learning tons about brands like Geoffrey Campbell, Bedstu, and Bernie Mev to name a few as well as what goes on behind the scenes of a shoe store as oppose to strictly clothing. This is very interesting to me in order to continue developing in the fashion industry. It is that time of the year again when everyone is out shopping for school supplies and scrambling to enjoy the last bit of this wonderful thing called summer. What you may not know is that I took time off from continuing with school and needless to say it has been harder and harder to just go and get it done. At first I was just clueless as to what I wanted to set my mind on, but now that I realize fashion is what I am most passionate about I feel it is necessary to make a career out of it! I will keep you updated on the process it will take to conquer this "fear" of going back-to-school. School also means fall is surely on its way, but keep a positive perspective because it brings dark layers that I must confess I have missed. I love the school-girl look because anyone can do it! It is as simple as putting a cute blouse and skater skirt together with a few accessories. I love the peter-pan collar on this top and its lace details that set the mood for this entire look. For those cloudy days that tend to get chilly these over-the-knee suspender tights from Urban Outfitters will look adorable while adding a subtle layer of warmth! The Etienne Aigner Zane pump is not just your average black pump, the adorable bow details are topped off with a gold emblem that add a little something that I love, did I mention how comfy they are? The finishing touches are a classic Coach bag and a watch is always good to have incase your phone runs out of batteries or can't use it in class! What are you looking forward to this September? I am looking forward to witnessing another beautiful change of seasons! Have a great day! xoxo, Your Everyday Girl Top: Simply Vera Wang Skirt: KNIT KNIT by Kova and T Heels: Etienne Aigner Tights: Urban Outfitters Bag: Coach Watch: Eaton
M E R C Y S W E A T E RI love yellow because it is bright and a color that screams happy! Embroidered flowers pattern the crinkled center panel of a girly crewneck sweater with ribbed trim. Paired with a royal blue skater skirt, it is a bold and bright summer statement. I decided to leave the top untucked for a drop waist look and swingy skirt. I chose to pair this look with a beige cross body bag and off white pumps to accentuate the bold colors . White cat-eye sunnies are a nice statement to your face, and I topped the look off with a sparkly sapphire ring. F O U R T H O F J U L YThe fourth of July to me is all about getting up early to get to the parade, cooking out, and heading to the lake for fireworks with the family. Thankfully, this year my father was able to fly in from Puerto Rico which made the whole experience that much more special. Family time is always a great time especially on holidays as these. A dress can go a long way, first of all the print could not be more perfect for a July 4th on Lake Michigan, and the airy fabric kept me cool under the hot sun. Red heels add a festive vibe while enhancing the sailboats on the print. Keeping in mind it may be very bright out, these green mirrored aviators work as a statement pair of sunnies that also complement the print. Pearls and a shoulder bag add a retro ladylike vibe that I love. Feels Good to be Home Your Everyday Girl Dress: Sunny Girl Heels: Apt. 9 Bag: Coach Pearls: Vintage
