Hello loves! Fall is in full swing here in Madison, the trees are slowly losing their foliage and the nights keep getting colder. It is truly a beautiful sight to see, and though it may make be a bit sad to know that summer is gone there is a part of me that is already excited for the holidays to come. This outfit is a perfect example of how I am embracing the change of season. As you may already know I love vintage clothing and accessories because it is a healthy way of shopping that helps the environment, and I also do it for the thrill of finding something unique to love! I love this dress because of its feminine cut and the colors are reminiscent of fall, but most of all it takes me back to that old couch Grandma used to have. For a boho vibe I paired the dress with an over-sized honey cardigan, it feels like being wrapped in a blanket and that puts me in my favorite level of comfort. I love my new Jeffrey Campbell Everly booties from (Shoo) so much!! These boots are extremely comfortable and look a bit bad-ass which is something I wanted to incorporate to this look. The accessories add that oomph such as with the Fossil watch that is a perfect color for this season and this vintage Dooney and Bourke AWL crossbody. I topped off this look with a wool hat to keep me warm, which looks quite adorable if I do say so myself. What do you like most about this look? Summer is all about tanning and getting to be outdoors breathing in the fresh air and soaking up the vitamin D. I would very much love to be in the sandy beaches of Puerto Rico, but I shall settle for one of the surrounding Lakes here in Madison. We decided to go to James Madison Park because there is a spot not many people know about which has a large patch of land that is ideal for a picnic and relaxing. I have not been laying out as much as I’d like this summer, so this time I wanted to make the most of the day while playing and tanning. I love this new two-piece from Victoria's Secret, with its zebra print it has an edgy feel and cheeky bottom that highlights your curves. Going with an edgy vibe, I paired the Nickiee studded sandals for a rough and shiny texture complemented with the gold cuff. We spent the day enjoying the sun and playing catch with my awesome shark football as well as a fun game of paddle ball. Not only we had fun while playing but we tanned and got a bit of cardio while at it, three birds with one stone. I of course had to bring out the JBL portable speaker for listening to music and a Dior magazine to get amazing fashion inspiration. Sunscreen, Eos lip balm, and oil wipes are my must haves when out in the sun. This straw-hat tops off the look with a vintage vibe and I am pretty sure it is reversible. I love this "Protect The Skin You're In" T-shirt especially because it was made to cause cancer awareness, but also as the perfect beach cover up since it is long enough to cover my bottom. At the end of the day we enjoyed the most beautiful sunset you can see under Lifestyle. That is why you must choose today to wear what you want and stop saving it for another day, of this I am guilty. It is now or never, that is the motto. I wanted to go for a hipster-Free People vibe with this look, keeping in mind my personal style. I cannot seem to stop wearing high waist shorts this summer, it may be because of how great they fit and how casual they look. The moon and stars print takes you to a magical place paired with a distressed light wash jacket a perfect denim on denim staple. This lamb suede crop top is the ideal neutral shade to complement the print and its split back lends a sexy touch and airflow. These are all reasons to look for vintage treasures to recycle especially since this is part of a set I will be styling later on. I love the navy hat with this denim on denim look because it adds a darker shade of blue that welcomes the classic Club Master with a bit of mystery. I made this look my own by adding my newly rediscovered vintage AWL Dooney and Bourke Bucket bag, it is just perfect. I stack my rings up, up, up and this is fun when incorporating different gems and shapes. Adding to that shine my Fossil watch that I cannot get enough of since I got it back in spring because it is an almost chocolaty rose gold shade that complements my skin well and the lovely Bettina sandals from Rebecca Minkoff; topped off with a delicate grey pearl. Jewels: Assorted Hat: Sacred Feather Sandals: Rebecca Minkoff Sunnies: Ray Ban The warm weather reminds me of what it feels like to be in Puerto Rico, I especially like the smell of freshly cut grass. It brings back many childhood memories from running around the barrio with my friends to sitting on my porch; someone was always cutting the grass. If you are like me you also like to portray who you are and how you feel through your daily looks. I wanted to feel at home and this look did just that; it took me to the beach. The palm tree embroidery sits perfectly on a sheer panel that gives room for airflow and adds texture. Being a two piece it can sometimes overwhelm you, adding a belt will accentuate your waistline pulling the whole look together. Gold wedges add the shine that was missing and elongate your legs. To top off this look I used a tooled leather clutch with beautiful floral details and an amazing straw hat!
