Keeping it Bold

I am all about quality over quantity because when products are made well they look better and are more likely to defy the test of time. It is always easy to wear leather in spring or fall when looking for warm clothes that look stylish. Some may say there is no way they would wear leather in the summer, but here is a great way to make it work while keeping cool. I love the teal color of this pencil skirt giving, a fresh look to the common black leather we are used to seeing. A crochet crop top has amazing details adding a feminine texture and letting the wind right through. Gold wedges dazzle with shine complemented with gold bangles and rings. A red handbag is a nice pop of color taking this look to the next level. Keeping it Bold Your Everyday Girl Top: Wet Seal Skirt: Vintage Heels: Seychelle's Bag: Doone

B L A C K A N D Y E L L O WI love a crop top and high waist shorts combination for when it gets really hot out, it keeps you cool and you catch a tan at the same time. The daisy print is great on a black backdrop paired with distressed high waist shorts that give balance to an edgy summer. The Nickiee studded sandal from Steve Madden is ideal for summer, the conical studs cover the T strap giving me shine and adding texture to my edgy look. The right accessories make the outfit like the yellow daisy earrings that are fun and complement the floral print. I love Marc Jacobs jewelry and the Ball & Chains cuff from Shopbop is the perfect complement to the gold studs. A small backpack is ideal for a casual look because you can put all your must haves (and snacks) in it and throw it on your back. Dooney and Bourke is my favorite because they have a great selection of modern bags and vintage treasures waiting to be found. The warm weather reminds me of what it feels like to be in Puerto Rico, I especially like the smell of freshly cut grass. It brings back many childhood memories from running around the barrio with my friends to sitting on my porch; someone was always cutting the grass. If you are like me you also like to portray who you are and how you feel through your daily looks. I wanted to feel at home and this look did just that; it took me to the beach. The palm tree embroidery sits perfectly on a sheer panel that gives room for airflow and adds texture. Being a two piece it can sometimes overwhelm you, adding a belt will accentuate your waistline pulling the whole look together. Gold wedges add the shine that was missing and elongate your legs. To top off this look I used a tooled leather clutch with beautiful floral details and an amazing straw hat! Being from Puerto Rico I cannot wait for summer to finally arrive, summer makes me happy because it is hot and beautiful outside. It must also be because summer reminds me of home since in Puerto Rico it is hot all year round; since it’s an island near the equator. I love soaking up the vitamin D as much as I can and even though I have yet to go tanning this summer, I gained a sun kissed look from all my walks downtown. Getting a tan means we can wear brights and neon when anytime we want! That is why I love this tangerine dress; it is just perfect for me! It has a supper cute fruits print that reminds me of the tropics and a blue trim is a favorite. Needless to say the cutout in the back is an added bonus for air flow and a dash of sexy perfect for summer. With their metallic texture and small details these gold wedges have been my go to heel this summer. I love layering necklaces and got lucky when I found a tiny pineapple to layer with a longer pineapple necklace, it just does not get any better. Iridescent studs are great for colorful looks especially a patterned ones, because they add color and sparkle. Pandemonium pink is still one of my top OPI colors of choice; with this look it complements the pink on the dress perfectly. A summer look is not complete unless it is with a pair of sunnies; mirrored aviators top this colorful and tropical look just right. Tip: Add a denim jacket if it gets chilly or you simply want to cover up and pair it with a solid bag to balance out the print.
