T H E C L A S S I CIf your style is all over the place as is mine, then I know you also like to be classically chic at times, this could be solved with a classic red and black color combination. I love a button up paired with a skater skirt because it says I am here to have fun but I mean business. The pin stripes add just the right vibe of menswear complemented with a skater skirt to keep it girly. I love this skirt because it is different from my other skater skirts, the small pleats add lots of volume to swirl around. In my opinion this is a perfect combination for any silhouette. The accessories bring this look to life with the vintage Coach mini bucket bag and polka dot socks with Newbury ankle booties. I love that the leather here adds two different textures; one soft and the other strong and rugged. One of the most important things to remember this summer is to protect the skin you are in. Aviators block the sun, but there is nothing better than a sun hat to protect your skin from burning while taking a walk in the town. Not only is the hat keeping my skin safe but it really tops off this look with an edgy feel. I’m not going to lie, I feel like I just walked out of the set of American Horror Story. What makes you feel like a superstar? Your Everyday Girl Top: Ben Sherman Skirt: KNIT by Kova and T Bag: Coach Booties: rag + bone Socks: UO Hat: Kathy Jeanne Aviators: Ray Ban Ring: Sarah Cov. As always, it is a pleasure to be able to work with The Rise Brand.

As you may already know I decided to do a sweater guide last week as a reminder to wear your sweaters before it is too late! In the sweater guide I incorporated argyle pints, cashmere solids, and fun prints. Choosing how to style each different sweater styles is what makes the look work. All while staying comfortably warm! Incorporate my styling tips for even more sweater styles such as vests, cardigans, etc. I am so glad for spring beak because it is a sign that the weather will soon increase. Needless to say, the time off and seeing family and friends was much needed. I also enjoyed mom's home cooked meals and a Childish Gambino concert. What I am most excited to share with you is my collaboration with Rise. I will be sharing all the details this week but now it is time for me to get ready & go! I hope you all had a great spring break!
Your Everyday Girl CASHMEREHere is a way to pair a simple solid sweater to make a very well put together look. My motto is: Any day is a cashmere kind of day. Cashmere has been around for thousands of years, which I thank God for! If it were up to me, every sweater in the world would be made of cashmere. By now you should understand my obsession of the fabric, mostly because of the softness and warmth that it gives. This green plaid skirt is actually made of wool and makes for a perfect duo with the black tights. Depending on how chilly it may get you can wear a silk camisole underneath for even more comfort and warmth. Accessorizing is crucial in every outfit you put together, whether you go all out or keep it minimal. The maroon oxfords are my go-to when it comes to a closed toe shoe that adds texture. You can choose a delicate necklace as I did and top it off with a hat of your choice or you could just add a statement necklace. Keep warm and stay stylish! Purple Rain
Top: Old Navy Skirt: Forever 21 Hat: Vintage Raincoat: Vintage Guess Shoes: Fioni Necklace: J Crew Ring & Earrings: Vintage On a gloomy day, first things first. If you have not been preparing your daily outfits or haven't prepared for a bit of rain, it is totally okay! As long as you have tights, a rain coat, or a trench coat any outfit will work! I knew what to expect as soon as I walked outside, rain, wind, cold temperature, and a grey sky. I am not a fan so much of the fall and winter when it is grey and dark out. I decided I would lift my mood making my look a statement. This top from Old Navy feels exactly like silk! I'm impressed by the quality of material. The magenta colored button up complements the navy and white hounds-tooth pencil skirt (with pockets!). I had straightened my hair the previous night and was afraid my hair would turn into a frizz ball! I decided to try this navy hat with a gold feather broach. I really like how I was able to cover my hair from the wind and how the hat complemented the navy skirt. Since the hat has gold hardware, it is only right to stay in that route. I wanted to feel more feminine and dressed up so I decided to wear gold heels, even though I wore flats to the museum and back to keep my toes from getting wet and cold. I did not want my skirt to slide down, this skinny gold belt was perfect because it was tight enough. Since I was already making a statement I decided to try out my colorful statement necklace with simple earrings. I was thrilled because it actually worked! The reason why is because in the color scheme a light purple and royal blue were included, as well as gold hardware. With my raincoat, gloves, and umbrella on hand I am ready to appreciate the art! -Your Everyday Girl |
