Your Everyday Girl
Rory Beca quickly became a phenomenon after her first collection in summer 2006. She features vintage-inspired, wearable fashions with a feminine edge for styles that are endlessly chic. The Emilion Roset dress is no exception; its floral crocheted details lend a vintage feel to the structured bodice. The elastic band gives a casual vibe that says "I might just stop at the beach" and the shirttail hem finishes the silhouette. This dress feels like a dream it is just effortless and extremely comfortable needless to say white is a breath of fresh air. To complement this detailed dress less accessories will give you more. The Rebecca Minkoff Bettina sandal in rose gold are the perfect pop of shine that will be sure to get you noticed on any summer day. Lately I can't seem to get enough of statement jewelry such as the chunky rings seen here and gold cuff from Marc Jacobs. There is just something about Marc Jacobs jewelry that I love. Something old seems right when wearing white; in this case I chose a dainty cameo necklace and small vintage Coach Leather crossbody bag. There are times when all you want is to feel like a lady, this calls for pastels, floral, and of course the precious pearls. Here peach is really doing it for me it feels refreshing for summer. The crop top has been a huge trend this year which I am a fan of. In my opinion the crop top looks best styled with anything high-waist just showing the mid-rib area. This silk skirt is my best friend right now; its color, cut, and fabric make it an ideal skirt for me. A neat bun will keep your hair out of the way on a hot day as well as show off your pretty face and pearls. When going for a fresh vibe, neutrals are a nice combination such as the beige bag and off white pumps. To top off this look white cat-eye sunnies are the cherry on top. Tip: Choose a bright polish for your nails, I chose OPI Cajun Shrimp. Your Everyday Girl Top: Urban Outfitters Skirt: Contrarian NY Heels: Nine West Bag: Coach Sunnies: ALDO
I am so happy to share with you the latest good news I received! You are looking at the new Urban Outfitters employee! Ever since I moved to Madison I have wanted to work there and now that I have the opportunity I am excited to continue learning and to be part of a great culture. Urban Outfitters, Free People, Anthropologie, and Terrain are all sister companies which is pretty exciting to think of this new window of opportunities! This is what I chose to wear to my interview; I did not want to look like I tried too hard or not enough but this I felt like a great balance. I chose to wear this silk button up from Urban Outfitters for a semi-business look and the color is great. Paired with black high-waist leggings it is a perfectly comfortable duo, to prevent being nervous in an interview dress comfy. For a retro vibe I chose vintage earrings and Station Bag which also adds texture. These chunky heels quickly became one of my favorite; they are comfortable and make you feel super tall and confident. I put my hair up in a bird’s nest and topped off the look with a bold lip. Being from Puerto Rico I cannot wait for summer to finally arrive, summer makes me happy because it is hot and beautiful outside. It must also be because summer reminds me of home since in Puerto Rico it is hot all year round; since it’s an island near the equator. I love soaking up the vitamin D as much as I can and even though I have yet to go tanning this summer, I gained a sun kissed look from all my walks downtown. Getting a tan means we can wear brights and neon when anytime we want! That is why I love this tangerine dress; it is just perfect for me! It has a supper cute fruits print that reminds me of the tropics and a blue trim is a favorite. Needless to say the cutout in the back is an added bonus for air flow and a dash of sexy perfect for summer. With their metallic texture and small details these gold wedges have been my go to heel this summer. I love layering necklaces and got lucky when I found a tiny pineapple to layer with a longer pineapple necklace, it just does not get any better. Iridescent studs are great for colorful looks especially a patterned ones, because they add color and sparkle. Pandemonium pink is still one of my top OPI colors of choice; with this look it complements the pink on the dress perfectly. A summer look is not complete unless it is with a pair of sunnies; mirrored aviators top this colorful and tropical look just right. Tip: Add a denim jacket if it gets chilly or you simply want to cover up and pair it with a solid bag to balance out the print.
