Your Everyday Girl
As you may already know I decided to do a sweater guide last week as a reminder to wear your sweaters before it is too late! In the sweater guide I incorporated argyle pints, cashmere solids, and fun prints. Choosing how to style each different sweater styles is what makes the look work. All while staying comfortably warm! Incorporate my styling tips for even more sweater styles such as vests, cardigans, etc. I am so glad for spring beak because it is a sign that the weather will soon increase. Needless to say, the time off and seeing family and friends was much needed. I also enjoyed mom's home cooked meals and a Childish Gambino concert. What I am most excited to share with you is my collaboration with Rise. I will be sharing all the details this week but now it is time for me to get ready & go! I hope you all had a great spring break!

With the sun barely peeking through the clouds, everyone seems to have the winter blues! I am all about denim on denim, must be because my favorite color is blue. Therefore I am all for this all blue look. Start off with a light wash denim button up and layer a navy cashmere crew neck with it. Here you probably could go with any wash of denim but I prefer dark wash skinny jeans, fold the bottoms for an extra hint of texture. Now you may think it is too much blue, but with the right accessories this will be an outfit to remember. I usually try to pair shoes as soon as my outfit is on and go from there. I chose white flats with a pop of color and cute embroidery which will brighten your look. I like to button my button up all the way up which will make a statement necklace more visible. Pearls will turn any look into something classy and sophisticated. This baby blue cameo brooch complements the glamorous pearls making this a perfect statement combination. With my sapphire ring and a baby blue Dooney on hand, this look is complete and the winter blues went right out the door. Add an extra layer of warmth with a faux fur vest for a walk around the city. Sweater: J Crew Top: Lauren Ralph Lauren Jeans: Hudson Flats: Cole Haan Bag: Dooney and Bourke Scarf: Vintage The weather has been slowly changing here in Madison! Wootwoot!! This reminds me I should probably wear my sweaters now before it gets too warm for them and it is time for shorts and dresses! Spring break is here so perfect timing for a SWEATER GUIDE! This week I will show you how to pair and choose different sweater styles! I will begin with this argyle print crew neck sweater. Pair it with a solid top underneath and a dark wash skinny jean in order to make the pattern stand out. Always work around the colors incorporated on the patterns. I paired this beige and tan cross body for an easy on-the-go bag needless to say it’s a vintage Dooney. Tie a fancy silk scarf to your bags for an extra touch of “something sweet”. I have been wearing all my booties and lace ups for what seems like too long and since the weather is changing, it is time to bring out the flats. These Cole Haan flats are actually Nike Air which blows my mind how comfortable they feel throughout the day! With a delicate necklace and ring this look is complete! You can do your hair as you wish; here I kept it natural which is the quickest hairstyle I can accomplish on any day. Happy Spring! Your Everyday Girl P.S. Grab a blazer or jacket to throw on later on the day when it gets chilly again.
It is that time of the year again when we are not sure of what to wear or even buy. One day it can be raining and warm out and the next it starts snowing again. I know this is annoying and slowly but surely the time will pass and with it the weather will become more favorable again. Don't get too caught up on waiting for it to change and enjoy those layers on layers while you have the chance. A perfect way to bring in the color is with pastels because they are light in color as oppose to bright neon colors that may not look good on a gloomy day. I decided to pair this light blue corduroy skater skirt with a white button up which has green stripes. A perfect way to even the pops of color is to pair your look with something black such as the black tights I chose here and fur jacket for night time. This will give that happy medium of Winter & Spring. Now have a little fun with your accessories! Add a skinny belt for a structured shape. Bring out the bling with a statement necklace and cute colorful earrings. You can choose to wear flats or oxfords, just make it your own. I straightened my hair a few days ago and even with dry shampoo on, the third day is pony tail day. I brush it and curl the ends to make it a bit more done up. Add hairspray and your do will last all day long! Now time to enjoy the sun rays!
