There are times when all you want is to feel like a lady, this calls for pastels, floral, and of course the precious pearls. Here peach is really doing it for me it feels refreshing for summer. The crop top has been a huge trend this year which I am a fan of. In my opinion the crop top looks best styled with anything high-waist just showing the mid-rib area. This silk skirt is my best friend right now; its color, cut, and fabric make it an ideal skirt for me. A neat bun will keep your hair out of the way on a hot day as well as show off your pretty face and pearls. When going for a fresh vibe, neutrals are a nice combination such as the beige bag and off white pumps. To top off this look white cat-eye sunnies are the cherry on top. Y O U R E V E R Y D A Y G I R L meets R I S EOne of the trends I wanted to try all winter was the men's suit that is trending. I was ecstatic when I rescued this retro jumpsuit from the pits of Dig & Save. Thankfully it is in my size and is in perfect condition without sign of wear or staining. I really like the balance of femininity and menswear because it can make you feel strong and powerful. Nowadays there are many women who are the breadwinner of the family. This shows women are stronger than ever, we can really do anything we want if we set our minds to it. When working with a longer pant keep in mind that you want to keep a tall and lean look. Nude sandals are nice and simple. I love this clutch with its floral embroidery on a black backdrop that gives a feminine touch. I am obsessed with needlepoint style embroidery or most commonly known as "Grandma’s Couch" fabric, this is a technique that dates back thousands of years to ancient Egypt. Any good business woman knows to have a watch handy in any given situation. I chose a skinny black watch because it is feminine and sleek perfect for this polished look. Aviators are pretty universal shape, I believe anyone can pull them off and they are great for blocking the sun and staying mysterious. Red lips usually never go wrong and it is always fun to wear lipstick so grab one you like to top off your look. Woman In Black Your Everyday Girl Tip : With these large buttons on the sleeves not much jewelry is needed. I added a watch and cameo ring on opposite hands as well as small stud earrings. As the old saying goes, less is more. Jumpsuit: Vintage Heels: Zara Clutch: Vintage Ring: Sarah Coventry Watch: Anne Klein
9 0 ' s B A B E Summer is here with its hot temperatures, finding something light to keep cool is vital. This razorback tank from Free People is a fresh look to the usually thought of as a work-out tank. I love the floral panel and tie details that give a girly vintage feel. To bring back the 90's anything high waist may work. These light wash shorts are a score with their floral embroidery to complement the subtle floral details on the tank top. There are days where you could need a pick me up, just grab your platforms and go! These lace-up style platforms are extremely comfortable putting me on top of the world; being one to take comfort seriously I could not love these shoes more. Sometimes it feels good to break the rules as I did here with gold necklaces and silver rings, summer often means bolder accessories. Club Master sunnies add a sophisticated look with a vintage vibe which is sort of mysterious, great for your face I think. Somehow Dooney and Bourke finds a way to complete my look almost every day. This mini bucket quickly became a favorite in my collection, being black leather it adds an edgy look I love and its size is just adorable! Tartan has been a big trend this year especially during last fall with pleated skirts and flannel shirts. Plaid has been around for a while now and it looks like it’s here to stay, but with this look you'll never want it to go away. To me summer is all about dresses because they are easy to throw on and the wind flows right through just when you need it. The shirt dress is flattering to any figure, adding a polished lady-like look that is always a hit. With this classic red, white, and blue plaid I chose to pair it with white flats and vintage Dooney and Bourke to make this a fresh look. The love birds are an added bonus because sometimes it just works. Styling is kept minimal here since the dress has a busy pattern that we do not want to clash with. I kept my hair out of my face in a pony since I could not get the bun right, but either way it worked out. You can incorporate this trend in multiple ways, all you need is to choose one and make it your own.
