There is nothing I love more than enjoying ice cream on a hot summer day. I have a few favorites from chocolate chip, butter pecan, and the classic Neapolitan. When I saw this swan pleat jumpsuit I could only think of ice cream. The pink, vanilla, and chocolate color-block adds playful volume to an otherwise structured suit. Classic pumps elongate your legs while the nude patent leather complements the hidden chocolate panel adding a shiny texture. A sequined bag adds all the shine and sparkle that is missing in this simply chic look. Simple pearl stud earrings top off this look that is perfect for a day in the 'Windy City'. The warm weather reminds me of what it feels like to be in Puerto Rico, I especially like the smell of freshly cut grass. It brings back many childhood memories from running around the barrio with my friends to sitting on my porch; someone was always cutting the grass. If you are like me you also like to portray who you are and how you feel through your daily looks. I wanted to feel at home and this look did just that; it took me to the beach. The palm tree embroidery sits perfectly on a sheer panel that gives room for airflow and adds texture. Being a two piece it can sometimes overwhelm you, adding a belt will accentuate your waistline pulling the whole look together. Gold wedges add the shine that was missing and elongate your legs. To top off this look I used a tooled leather clutch with beautiful floral details and an amazing straw hat! I am so happy to share with you the latest good news I received! You are looking at the new Urban Outfitters employee! Ever since I moved to Madison I have wanted to work there and now that I have the opportunity I am excited to continue learning and to be part of a great culture. Urban Outfitters, Free People, Anthropologie, and Terrain are all sister companies which is pretty exciting to think of this new window of opportunities! This is what I chose to wear to my interview; I did not want to look like I tried too hard or not enough but this I felt like a great balance. I chose to wear this silk button up from Urban Outfitters for a semi-business look and the color is great. Paired with black high-waist leggings it is a perfectly comfortable duo, to prevent being nervous in an interview dress comfy. For a retro vibe I chose vintage earrings and Station Bag which also adds texture. These chunky heels quickly became one of my favorite; they are comfortable and make you feel super tall and confident. I put my hair up in a bird’s nest and topped off the look with a bold lip. Y O U R E V E R Y D A Y G I R L meets R I S EOne of the trends I wanted to try all winter was the men's suit that is trending. I was ecstatic when I rescued this retro jumpsuit from the pits of Dig & Save. Thankfully it is in my size and is in perfect condition without sign of wear or staining. I really like the balance of femininity and menswear because it can make you feel strong and powerful. Nowadays there are many women who are the breadwinner of the family. This shows women are stronger than ever, we can really do anything we want if we set our minds to it. When working with a longer pant keep in mind that you want to keep a tall and lean look. Nude sandals are nice and simple. I love this clutch with its floral embroidery on a black backdrop that gives a feminine touch. I am obsessed with needlepoint style embroidery or most commonly known as "Grandma’s Couch" fabric, this is a technique that dates back thousands of years to ancient Egypt. Any good business woman knows to have a watch handy in any given situation. I chose a skinny black watch because it is feminine and sleek perfect for this polished look. Aviators are pretty universal shape, I believe anyone can pull them off and they are great for blocking the sun and staying mysterious. Red lips usually never go wrong and it is always fun to wear lipstick so grab one you like to top off your look. Woman In Black Your Everyday Girl Tip : With these large buttons on the sleeves not much jewelry is needed. I added a watch and cameo ring on opposite hands as well as small stud earrings. As the old saying goes, less is more. Jumpsuit: Vintage Heels: Zara Clutch: Vintage Ring: Sarah Coventry Watch: Anne Klein
