T A K E O N T H E W O R L DHello lovely readers! I have been very busy with work now that I have gotten another sales position at a local shoe and consignment business called (Shoo). I have been learning tons about brands like Geoffrey Campbell, Bedstu, and Bernie Mev to name a few as well as what goes on behind the scenes of a shoe store as oppose to strictly clothing. This is very interesting to me in order to continue developing in the fashion industry. It is that time of the year again when everyone is out shopping for school supplies and scrambling to enjoy the last bit of this wonderful thing called summer. What you may not know is that I took time off from continuing with school and needless to say it has been harder and harder to just go and get it done. At first I was just clueless as to what I wanted to set my mind on, but now that I realize fashion is what I am most passionate about I feel it is necessary to make a career out of it! I will keep you updated on the process it will take to conquer this "fear" of going back-to-school. School also means fall is surely on its way, but keep a positive perspective because it brings dark layers that I must confess I have missed. I love the school-girl look because anyone can do it! It is as simple as putting a cute blouse and skater skirt together with a few accessories. I love the peter-pan collar on this top and its lace details that set the mood for this entire look. For those cloudy days that tend to get chilly these over-the-knee suspender tights from Urban Outfitters will look adorable while adding a subtle layer of warmth! The Etienne Aigner Zane pump is not just your average black pump, the adorable bow details are topped off with a gold emblem that add a little something that I love, did I mention how comfy they are? The finishing touches are a classic Coach bag and a watch is always good to have incase your phone runs out of batteries or can't use it in class! What are you looking forward to this September? I am looking forward to witnessing another beautiful change of seasons! Have a great day! xoxo, Your Everyday Girl Top: Simply Vera Wang Skirt: KNIT KNIT by Kova and T Heels: Etienne Aigner Tights: Urban Outfitters Bag: Coach Watch: Eaton

P R E - F A L L These last couple of days I've been in a dark kind of mood with maroon, plum, and navy colors that are ideal for the upcoming fall. I styled this plum silky maxi with a beige halter top keeping in mind it is light for summer with a hint of fall fashion. I normally would not be very inclined to a halter top, but I love how this one fits loosely and comfortably giving a boho vibe. The details are what originally drew me to this top from the delicate floral embroidery to the crochet scalloped trim. Copper details enhance this look adding that shine and texture that was missing. What I love about the maxi skirt is that you can dress it up with heels for the weekend or tone it down with cute sandals. Have a great rest of your week! S U M M E R L O V I N'Lately, all I have been wanting to wear are high waist shorts for their comfortable fit and retro vibe that are ideal for summer. I also have been in a Free People vibe lately which must be since working at Urban Outfitters, here is my girly-gypsy look. This hot pink silk camisole is extremely comfortable and simple with a lace twist that I love, especially since I got it on Maxwell Street Days. These vintage shorts you may have seen me style in the past, I just love the embroidered roses that run along the sides. I layered this thin cardigan that screams fairytale with its scalloped trims and floral details. The accessories take this look to the next level with lots of sterling silver details and pops of turquoise complemented with Oui Madame Essie polish. The Petty Suede Booties from Sam Edelman add a western feel paired with frilly socks for a girly touch. To top off this look I chose a beige Dooney and Bourke bag that adds a nice rugged leather texture and of course round sunnies. Have a great rest of the week! As you may already know I am all about prints and I love the dinosaurs on this black tee because it is different and unique. Keeping it casual, I paired this look with a grey pair of shorts, which are super comfortable given the fact they are Levi's. Accessories will dress up this look just enough with my favorite studded sandals from Steve Madden and the vintage AWL mini bucket from Dooney and Bourke. Needless to say the House of Harlow 1960 engraved station necklace is the perfect edgy statement which reminds me I should throw it on more often. The classic wayfarer are the ideal sunglasses for this back-to-black look and a pop of OPI Cajun Shrimp never looked better.
