N A N E T T E L E P O R ENeon colors are perfect for summer because they make your tan stand out! I love that many amazing designers like DVF, Rag+Bone, and Marc Jacobs have collaborated with Target to make stylish and affordable collections conveniently at your disposition. L'Amour by Nanette Lepore can be found at JC Penny which is pretty great too. I love the cloud like print on this dress and its color combination that remind me of the 70's. Recently I noticed that Iggy Azalea wore this vintage Paloma Picasso belt on her cover of The New Classic and immediately I was inspired to finally wear mine! I so wish my friend was back in town with her beautiful Paloma cross body, if you’re reading this I shall borrow it next time! Nonetheless Tory Burch did the job with this simple handbag and gold detail. I wanted to go for a modern 70’s look with a bit of edge and a girly touch which I feel I accomplished with the accessories. I kept it chic with cat-eye sunnies and Mary Jane patent leather heels, but a bold pink lip tops off this look! Happy Monday loves! Yesterday was national watermelon day and you may know I love watermelons from my shopping haul. I have had this chiffon cami from American Apparel for a while now, and I am glad that I saved it for this perfect day. I love the watermelon print on this sheer texture that lets the wind right through. It was a bit hard to style it at first, but after a few changes I chose these almost white high waist shorts to bring out the highlights on the print. I have been getting so many compliments on these Steve Madden suede Lagunna sandals and I just cannot stop wearing them! The height on these shoes is ideal and they are extremely comfortable to walk in even for hours at work. I kept this a very simple look with only studded iridescent earrings and a couple of silver rings. I topped the look with a small AWL Dooney and Bourke cross body. Off I go to finish the other half of this delicious watermelon! Have a great week! Your Everyday Girl Top: American Apparel Shorts: Levi Strauss Heels: Steve Madden Bag: Dooney and Bourke
Summer is all about tanning and getting to be outdoors breathing in the fresh air and soaking up the vitamin D. I would very much love to be in the sandy beaches of Puerto Rico, but I shall settle for one of the surrounding Lakes here in Madison. We decided to go to James Madison Park because there is a spot not many people know about which has a large patch of land that is ideal for a picnic and relaxing. I have not been laying out as much as I’d like this summer, so this time I wanted to make the most of the day while playing and tanning. I love this new two-piece from Victoria's Secret, with its zebra print it has an edgy feel and cheeky bottom that highlights your curves. Going with an edgy vibe, I paired the Nickiee studded sandals for a rough and shiny texture complemented with the gold cuff. We spent the day enjoying the sun and playing catch with my awesome shark football as well as a fun game of paddle ball. Not only we had fun while playing but we tanned and got a bit of cardio while at it, three birds with one stone. I of course had to bring out the JBL portable speaker for listening to music and a Dior magazine to get amazing fashion inspiration. Sunscreen, Eos lip balm, and oil wipes are my must haves when out in the sun. This straw-hat tops off the look with a vintage vibe and I am pretty sure it is reversible. I love this "Protect The Skin You're In" T-shirt especially because it was made to cause cancer awareness, but also as the perfect beach cover up since it is long enough to cover my bottom. At the end of the day we enjoyed the most beautiful sunset you can see under Lifestyle. I also have been in a Free People vibe lately which must be since working at Urban Outfitters, here is my girly-gypsy look. This hot pink silk camisole is extremely comfortable and simple with a lace twist that I love, especially since I got it on Maxwell Street Days. These vintage shorts you may have seen me style in the past, I just love the embroidered roses that run along the sides. I layered this thin cardigan that screams fairytale with its scalloped trims and floral details. The accessories take this look to the next level with lots of sterling silver details and pops of turquoise complemented with Oui Madame Essie polish. The Petty Suede Booties from Sam Edelman add a western feel paired with frilly socks for a girly touch. To top off this look I chose a beige Dooney and Bourke bag that adds a nice rugged leather texture and of course round sunnies. Have a great rest of the week!
