Top: Lauren Ralph Lauren Vest: Gap Jeans: Hudson Boots: Franco Sarto Handbag: Dooney and Bourke Watch: Scotia Cuff: Marc Jacobs It’s been a busy week and by the time Sunday comes we may just want to lay around all day in our oversize sweaters and leggings, but here is a look that will be extremely comfy and will motivate you to be productive. You will be comfortable enough to be inside or dressed up enough to leave! Here I chose to wear a green long sleeve turtle neck because the color is just great and the crest sets the mood for a preppy look. I layered this reversible vest with the fuzzy side on the inside for a warm and fuzzy feeling. Wear a comfy pair of dark wash skinny jeans with brown boots. Navy , green and maroon have been one of my favorite color combinations this fall and winter. That is why I paired this look with a maroon leather handbag and my go to maroon belt. I wanted to keep the accessories minimal with gold cuffs and small pearl earrings from Forever 21. I love that the face of this watch is plaid which you may already know I love! I also kept the hair and makeup simple with a rosy lip color with gold tones. A thin gold headband will be a finishing touch that will keep your hair out of your face.

Trench: Vintage Burberry Top: H&M Skirt: Vintage Scarf: Burberry Shoes: Gap Gloves: Lauren Ralph Lauren Belt: Coach Tights: Walgreen's This winter has been all about staying stylish without compromising our warmth. There is no better way to feel fabulous than to throw on a beautiful Burberry trench coat. This has to be my most prized possession from in my wardrobe. Paired with the nova check signature cashmere scarf it is magic. A simple beige button up top and a mustard colored skirt is the right combination of basic and corporate necessary for this classy and feminine look. As usual black tights are a must when wearing a skirt or a dress. I added a skinny leather belt at the waist line of the skirt to prevent my skirt from shifting. I am all about the little things and I just love the herringbone print on the flats as well as the small belt buckle. I like the fact that the small leather belt and leather gloves seem to be almost the same shade of mustard as the skirt. Leather gloves are sure to keep your fingers warm and I love the brown braided trimming on these as well as the LRL inscription, like I said it is all about those little details. I always love having my hair straight because it is so much easier to style it, even though it is time consuming I feel I finish faster and faster each time. With simple makeup and a bold lip such as this ruby/wine color is the right shade to complement this entire look as well as the red on the Burberry plaid. The best way to beat the winter is to do it in style. Xoxo, Your Everyday Girl Blazer & Sweater: Lauren Ralph Lauren Jeans: Hudson Handbag: Vintage Dooney & Bourke Boots: Breckelle's Watch: Sturling Silk Scarf: Vintage Necklace: DIY Ring: ReThreads Super cool modern gargoyles! I have finally found the perfect way to stay warm, with Cashmere + Wool. The cashmere cable knit is perfect underneath a wool blazer because you will not feel itchy from the wool since the sweater is extremely soft and together they are perfectly warm. Brown boots and a dark wash jean is pretty much necessary here. When accessorizing stay within your color scheme and add a pop of color somewhere, somehow. This vintage Dooney & Bourke myrtle green handbag paired with a navy and mustard yellow silk scarf adds just the right amount of the perfect colors. Accessorizing is all about the little details. Such as the delicate cameo necklace and the beautiful gold and brown watch. The little things are what make the big picture, so keep in mind your overall look you are going for. I wanted to go for a totally Ralph Lauren preppy look, I'd say my mission was accomplished. Stay warm, -Your Everyday Girl Layering different patterns such as a soft knit and a polished herringbone add dimension to your look. Plaid for Days Sweater: Lauren Ralph Lauren Skirt: Garland Bag: Talbots Shoes: Born Tights: Walgreen's Plaid is definitely a trend to watch this up coming new year, especially the Irish style plaid. I love this trend because it is so versatile and can be incorporated in many different ways. As seen on the collage below you can incorporate a plaid pattern from as little as a peek-a-boo collar to as much as a full on plaid pattern dress. I wanted to go on a more traditional route with a plaid skirt with leather belt straps. Many times when we picture an outfit in our mind and it may seem perfect but, once we try it on we learn that is not always the case. Most of the time it is difficult to match the right top with bottoms that have a variation of colors such as, navy, green, mustard, and beige that are seen on the skirt I chose. We must always be careful not to look too matchy-matchy in the end. Playing dress up is what always helps me figure out where to incorporate the right complimenting colors. With this look, I first thought a green sweater would be perfect but, unfortunately it did not give me that wow factor. This is a great example of thinking something will look great and it turns out it does not look right. I checked off green and continued to try another color on my palette. This navy turtle neck sweater is great with its beautiful large gold buttons that run along the neck and shoulder area. Wearing a skirt in the winter often requires us to find the right pair of tights. Many factors come into consideration such as opacity, patterns, and color just to name a few. I chose to wear sheer black tights because I wanted a softer texture while my skin still peeked through. I paired these two tone green chevron pattern shoes with this look because not only did they work as far as color ,but they took me in the traditional route I was going for while also giving off a 'school girl' vibe. With the right bag this look will be complete! That is why I paired this brief case style brown bag to complement the small leather straps on the skirt. The brass hardware on this bag is perfect for this look because it complements the beautiful buttons on the turtle neck. I did not want to add too much to this look and decided on keeping it simple with small pearl studs. I've learned to really love my curls and since it is the fastest way to style it, I brushed it, added Tresseme mousse and let it dry before going outside. Season's Greetings, Your Everyday Girl
