Your Everyday Girl
Since it is that time of year again when the weather is always changing, we ought to take advantage of every sunny day we get. Here is a very cute and comfortable easy summer look. High-waist shorts are a summer’s go to piece that literally has never gone out of style. I love a vintage cut because the fabric sways beautifully and the print on these is a perfect combination of floral, chevron, and stripes that I’m really enjoying. To bring out the flowers I chose a basic tan crop top and paired with my old sandals I have all the comfort I need for a sunny day out. Keep a pair of sunglasses in your bag for when it gets bright out. I love my new vintage Dooney and Bourke because I have been wanting a navy one for a while and finally got it in almost perfect condition. Since jewels are very minimal here I threw on my watch for the shine that was missing. Mixing prints is always great but does not always have to be super obvious; it can also be subtle which will make people wonder "What is she wearing?”. I chose to style a striped button up with this wool sweater for just enough layers of warmth without a jacket required. I am obsessed with the subtle floral details on this sweater with the super cute elbow patches and embroidered flowers. Jeans are always my go to when I cannot figure out what to wear in the mornings, mostly because they provide warmth and comfort. These Rag + Bone are exactly what I wanted; the wash is a right balance of dark and light not to mention the patches are an extra fun detail. I decided to stack up the rings and just a pair of simple studs for jewelry. A delicate necklace is always welcomed but this time I saw no need for one. I feel you can never go wrong with a leather bag, especially if they are DB or Coach because they age well and never go out of style. To bring out the green stripes I chose a pair of green mirrored aviators, and gold wedges add just enough shine as well as elongate the entire look. This is a perfect look for a day of work or school! Everyone knows of that "You can’t mix gold and silver" rule which usually is correct, but not always. Sometimes you may even have an item that has both incorporated, which will be easier to style. Here I chose to wear a white loose top paired with a high waist skinny jean for a casual and comfy feel. So far it is a very simple look, so dress it up with a striped or printed jacket that also adds an extra layer of warmth. I love the double chested buttons that helped me choose gold wedges which I can walk in all day. I cannot get enough of this very cool dart necklace so I felt it was only right to throw it on even though it has both silver and gold. A cross-body is always perfect for going outside; this one also has both gold and silver combined. Since I am breaking the rules I might as well add another shade of metal with my watch. Thankfully the weather has started picking up again after the sudden snowfall; therefore keep a pair of shades handy. I love this chiffon skirt which has both the floral print and pastel colors that are great for Easter. With all the different colors in the skirt there are many options as to how to pair it. I decided on a peach silky top paired with a purple and metallic cardigan which gives two different textures that also add shine. I like the scoop neck of this top because it has a ruching detail that is feminine and in my opinion substitutes a need for a necklace. I chose pearl earrings and my new watch as well as a few rings for more shine. To brighten up this look I paired it with beige bag and flats. Soon enough we will be complaining about how hot it is, and will love every second of it.
