Everyone knows of that "You can’t mix gold and silver" rule which usually is correct, but not always. Sometimes you may even have an item that has both incorporated, which will be easier to style. Here I chose to wear a white loose top paired with a high waist skinny jean for a casual and comfy feel. So far it is a very simple look, so dress it up with a striped or printed jacket that also adds an extra layer of warmth. I love the double chested buttons that helped me choose gold wedges which I can walk in all day. I cannot get enough of this very cool dart necklace so I felt it was only right to throw it on even though it has both silver and gold. A cross-body is always perfect for going outside; this one also has both gold and silver combined. Since I am breaking the rules I might as well add another shade of metal with my watch. Thankfully the weather has started picking up again after the sudden snowfall; therefore keep a pair of shades handy. Sweater: BCBG Max Azria Skirt: Vintage Shoes: Very Volatile Purse: Vintage Coach Necklace: DIY under 'Lifestyle' Cuff: Marc Jacobs Belt: Forever 21 Rings: Vintage This winter all I seem to be gravitating towards are blacks and grays. Let’s face it! It can get depressing at some point because all we want is to wear bright colors again! I figured by styling this black cashmere turtle neck and subtle flower print a line would be just a little bit of fun in my look while maintaining warmth and comfort. I love how the cut and print are amazingly slimming and flattering on this skirt, especially with a skinny belt. The vintage coach cross body is perfect for this look because of its classic style and beautiful green leather. I wanted to add a pop of color with maroon oxfords and red cameo necklace. I used two Maybelline lipsticks to achieve a berry plum shade. First I applied #895 "On Fire Red" shade everywhere except on the outline of my lips, then I applied #435 "Plum Effect" on the outline and blended it together. I like to apply a coat of Eos Summer Fruit lip balm before applying lipstick because it keeps my lips hydrated and my lipstick looking fresh. In the end I felt feminine and super warm which is most important when we are experiencing negative double digit temperatures.
