There are times when you need a little grey or black in your life, whether you are feeling some type of way or just want to look daring. Leather shorts have been on my wish list for a while just could not find the right fit, until I was able to thrift what seems to be the perfect pair. The length is ideal for me because it is short enough without displaying too much skin. As I have said before when showing off a part of your body like legs for example I like to cover an opposite such as my arms to keep it classy. That is why I decided on wearing a soft pink silk top to soften the look with texture paired with a grey cardi with soft pink stripes that match perfectly with the top and the length is great just below the shorts. I threw on a statement necklace for just enough bling. This time I felt no need for any other jewels, in order to keep this look simply chic. Straightening your hair can either take you a few minutes to a few hours depending on your hair type. I take about an hour if I am focused, that is why I like to make the most of the hair while I have it straight. When dry shampoo no longer has an effect I like to put it up in an almost messy ponytail and with this look it works great to keep the hair out of the way, while adding just enough edge. I love the Newbury ankle booties for leather on leather look ideal for a spring night out. This the perfect balance of silk, wool, and leather that will keep you warm on a spring day without overheating. Aviators top off this look and conceal your eyes for a little mystery. Summer is all about shirts and dresses but we often forget about skirts and those are just as fun since it is like making a dress of your own. Neon is perfect for summer since it is brighter out and will will make you appear very tan. I am pretty sure we all have been to a highlighter party before and this look is perfect for one. Two simple ways to style neon is with white or black depending on your mood. Here I chose to style the neon skirt with this very trendy crochet and lace top. I like that it is long sleeve and gives a more sophisticated ladylike vibe. I wore a nude tank top underneath which will come in handy this summer with sheer tops. Holographic shoes are great for when you want to add a little fun to your look, and these are just the right balance of classic and color. Any day is a Dooney and Bourke day in my world, and this mini bucket is just perfect. I got it from eBay and was super excited about it, until I received it with its strap cut off; fortunately I have a temporary strap until I can get it fixed. For a pop of color I chose to paint my nails With OPI Cajun Shrimp, my favorite summer polish. Cat-eye sunnies are great with any feminine look and straight hair is always best because it is so long and flowy. Ring: Sarah Cov. It is Spring and there is no going back now, time to bring out those shorts and dresses for a stroll. Summer to me is about being outside for bonfires, carnivals, and just enjoying the great outdoors. High waist shorts are great as long as they are a great fit for your shape. These I actually cut myself and they turned out pretty great if I do say so myself. Crop tops go perfectly with high waist shorts but since it is not quite summer yet I decided on a striped knit tank top and tucked it in. Spring nights usually mean the temperature drops so keep in mind to dress for both warm weather and for that chilly breeze at night. These cardigans from J Crew are my favorite; they are conveniently thin while still keeping you very warm because they are knit wool. The stripes on the tank are navy so I chose to use my navy Dooney and Bourke and leather sandals. Last but not least: sunglasses! All I ever want to do is to stay cuddled up in bed with my layers of blankets. Sadly it seems that each rainy or cloudy day occurs on when you must get up and go to school or work. Here I chose to pair a simple floral print dress and tights to keep me both warm and comfortable while looking like an effort was made. Throw on a cardigan or your favorite oversize sweater to ensure a cozy feel even outside of your bed. Oxfords are really comfortable to walk in and these maroon ones add a small pop of color. I pinned my curls up for a collected look and to get them out of the way. Grab your bag and all the necessaries for a gloomy day. On Wisconsin, Your Everyday Girl TODAY: IN MY BAG
