Keeping it Bold

I am all about quality over quantity because when products are made well they look better and are more likely to defy the test of time. It is always easy to wear leather in spring or fall when looking for warm clothes that look stylish. Some may say there is no way they would wear leather in the summer, but here is a great way to make it work while keeping cool. I love the teal color of this pencil skirt giving, a fresh look to the common black leather we are used to seeing. A crochet crop top has amazing details adding a feminine texture and letting the wind right through. Gold wedges dazzle with shine complemented with gold bangles and rings. A red handbag is a nice pop of color taking this look to the next level. Keeping it Bold Your Everyday Girl Top: Wet Seal Skirt: Vintage Heels: Seychelle's Bag: Doone

F O U R T H O F J U L YThe fourth of July to me is all about getting up early to get to the parade, cooking out, and heading to the lake for fireworks with the family. Thankfully, this year my father was able to fly in from Puerto Rico which made the whole experience that much more special. Family time is always a great time especially on holidays as these. A dress can go a long way, first of all the print could not be more perfect for a July 4th on Lake Michigan, and the airy fabric kept me cool under the hot sun. Red heels add a festive vibe while enhancing the sailboats on the print. Keeping in mind it may be very bright out, these green mirrored aviators work as a statement pair of sunnies that also complement the print. Pearls and a shoulder bag add a retro ladylike vibe that I love. Feels Good to be Home Your Everyday Girl Dress: Sunny Girl Heels: Apt. 9 Bag: Coach Pearls: Vintage
Be different, be you. There is nothing I love more than enjoying ice cream on a hot summer day. I have a few favorites from chocolate chip, butter pecan, and the classic Neapolitan. When I saw this swan pleat jumpsuit I could only think of ice cream. The pink, vanilla, and chocolate color-block adds playful volume to an otherwise structured suit. Classic pumps elongate your legs while the nude patent leather complements the hidden chocolate panel adding a shiny texture. A sequined bag adds all the shine and sparkle that is missing in this simply chic look. Simple pearl stud earrings top off this look that is perfect for a day in the 'Windy City'. T H E F I S H T A I L B R A I DSummer is all fun and games until you step outside and come to the realization you might melt before you make it back home. Need not to worry here is a look that will keep you looking fierce and feeling it too! A fishtail braid is a nice way to keep your hair neat in the humid days and if you are like me you may like to throw something new in the mix at times. The Vive Top from Dolce Vita is giving me just that; a summer vive! The braided trim traces the scoop neck to reveal split back that works as the perfect silk top. The black and white tribal print adds a bohemian-chic feel perfect with hot pink. Mirrored aviators add a fun pop of color and holographic heels catch it all in a subtle way! A black leather tote is a nice balance to this detailed look. Shining Bright Your Everyday Girl Top: Dolce Vita Shorts & Studs: Urban Outfitters Heels: Zara Aviator: Victoria Beckham Bag: Tory Burch |
