Your Everyday Girl
Spring is finally here, and I cannot wait for the tulips to start blooming and trees to flourish. In the meantime we can settle for floral prints. I love this chiffon skirt which has both the floral print and pastel colors that are great for Easter. With all the different colors in the skirt there are many options as to how to pair it. I decided on a peach silky top paired with a purple and metallic cardigan which gives two different textures that also add shine. I like the scoop neck of this top because it has a ruching detail that is feminine and in my opinion substitutes a need for a necklace. I chose pearl earrings and my new watch as well as a few rings for more shine. To brighten up this look I paired it with beige bag and flats. Soon enough we will be complaining about how hot it is, and will love every second of it. I love a "school girl" look and this one is a more subtle one inspired by American Apparel. I have been trying to wear all my sweaters before it gets warm out. There is nothing better than a cashmere sweater especially when looking for comfort. Paired with the high waist skirt I was able to tuck in the sweater for a more collected look. I like when pink and green are paired together, which may be difficult to do. Since both are a light dusty shade they work well, which that I really like for spring, whether it is sunny or not. I accessorized with multiple jeweled rings and simple earrings as well as a pearl bracelet without a necklace. You can do as you wish to your own preference. Knee high socks will complete that school girl look as well as adding extra warmth. Paired with a comfy shoe and bag on hand (or shoulder) this look is complete and time to go! Your Everyday Girl American Apparel is all about keeping it natural so I did my hair the easiest way I can; brushed and wait to dry. As well as minimal makeup and Eos lip balm. Being in Madison for practically any UW game of any sport will be an experience. As long as you wear red you will be sure to fit right in the sea of red surrounding campus and State Street. Here I chose a simple Bucky tank top with a red cashmere cardigan and faux fur vest for when the temperature drops. Since the day was a beautiful sunny one I felt a white skinny jean would be fresh and bright. Metallic will be a big trend this year, and these silver sandals are the right amount of shine to balance out the bright jeans. All you need are some shades and a big enough bag to fit all your game day necessities! Have a beautiful week! This is the time to rock your blazers especially with the constant change of climate. That is all fine because as they say: April showers bring May flowers! Radiant Orchid is the 2014 Pantone Color of the Year and here is a way to rock this color in any weather. I chose to pair this orchid colored button up with a navy blazer for a business casual look, the blazer is wool which will substitute any need for a coat. A very dark wash skinny jean will give this outfit a polished vibe that I am aiming for. I chose to pair these classic yet fancier flats, and because I have not worn them in a while. It's crazy how we often forget what's in our closet. I cannot get enough of this bag! It is the perfect size and I have not seen many vintage Dooney and Bourke bags in the same style. With very minimal jewelry this is a perfect business casual look.
