Chazen Museum of Art
The Chazen Museum of art is the perfect place to go to on a day with less favorable weather. The Chazen is home to the second-largest collection of art in Wisconsin. There are more than 20,000 works of art
showcased, which include: paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, and decorative arts. The best part about it is that there is absolutely no charge keeping you from enjoying the day at this amazing museum. There are about 3 stories to the museum (could be more!), in 2011 another building opened up with more than twice the gallery space as well as many great features including a sky-walk connecting the two buildings. I have visited the Chazen a few times already but, I have yet to see all it has to offer! This is great to be able to go numerous times and still see something new. The museum also presents frequent temporary exhibitions that may be local, national, or international. Many museums do not allow you to take pictures of the artwork and that is perfectly understandable. The Chazen lets you take pictures of the artwork and that is pretty great! You can take the memory as well. Now, next time it is gloomy plan your trip to the museum! I hope you enjoy the Chazen as much as I do!

My Favorite PieceThis beautiful sculpture is breathtaking! It screams power woman! We may forget how strong and amazing women are. Women go through many hardships, whether it involves relationships, friendships, family, careers, etc. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. This sculpture reminds me of how strong we really are. We should learn to empower one another and value each other as the wonderful beings we are. -Your Everyday Girl |
