Childish Gambino
If you don't know Childish; get to it. Childish Gambino produces his own music and beats. He is a lyrical genius that actually tells a story and is extremely versatile with styles such as classic hip hop (The Party) to new school (Freaks and Geeks) and gangster (Arrangement ft. Gonage) to mainstream (3005) to name a few. The Deep Web Tour is about all of us connecting as a society and of course to promote the latest album: Because the Internet. The moment I knew of tickets being available was the moment I knew I could not miss such an event. As I am writing this I realize it has yet to sink in that I saw Childish Gambino perform live! Two words: The Rave. A concert here means sweating and pushing, I know from my previous visit, but it is all worth it. People will suddenly push you so just stand your ground for a few seconds and push back if you have to. The graphics here were just amazing paired with the lights it was exactly what I expected from Childish. They were able to transform the stage from a living room to a camp site as a reference to "Camp". Childish Gambino independently released a number of mixtapes and albums before releasing "Camp" as his debut album with a major record company . I love that not only did Donald come on stage once but twice after leaving the stage. He performed classics such as So Fly, Heartbeat, and One up with Steve G. Lover followed by some freestyle to conclude the evening.
